Universal Laws of Success - Use Your Will to Achieve Anything
How persistent is your will? Are you a person who gives up quickly on goals? Successful people all around the world have one very critical trait in common: an iron clad will to achieve their objectives. How persistent is your will? Do you often give up or are you someone who persists until you have what you want.
How do most people set goals?
Most people set goals based on what they think they can achieve or what they know they can achieve but not on what they really want. This is very sad because it promotes the status quo in their life and prompts very limited growth. Real growth occurs when you step outside of your comfort zone and take a risk.
Why do most people give up on their goals and dreams?
Most people give up on their goals and their dreams because they either 1) are fearful that they will see a setback, or 2) do experience a minor setback and decide to give up because it’s too difficult. Is anything really worth while in life very easy to get? Think about the relationships you have in your life with family, friends and your significant other. These relationships require work. The business that you have or the employer that you work with requires effort on your part to sustain it and to grow your position. Anything that comes too easily, frequently is also easily lost. If you don’t believe me take a look at the statistics of people who win the lottery. Within a couple years they have lost every thing they have won. Anything you have not earned you have not earned the right to keep.
Do you really want “it”?
Many people give up on their goals and dreams because they don’t really want them. If an individual has not become emotionally involved in acquiring a goal that they seek, there is a very high possibility that they will give up. Ask yourself what are some of your New Year’s resolutions from past years. Did you complete all of them? If not why? I’m willing to bet you were not emotionally involved in those resolutions and therefore they did not stick.
How can I improve the intellectual factor of the will?
The will, like all other intellectual factors, can be improved with conscious awareness. Learning to be in control of your thoughts and then focus on one thing at a time is the skill set needed. One way to do this is to buy a candle and light it on the opposite side of the room from you. Focus on the candle and only the candle. Your mind will drift and think about different things such as your job and preparing lunches for the kids. Bring your mind back and focus on the candle. The longer you can focus on the candle and the flame without allowing your mind to drift the better your “will” will become. Once you learn to master this task you can focus your will on anything.
Will this really work?
Take a look at your life in terms of your happiness, health, and wealth. Is there room for things to be better? It doesn’t matter how happy, healthy or wealthy you are there is always room for improvement. Now ask yourself how determined are you and how strong is your will? If you continue to do everything you have always done I promise you’ll get more of the same results. The candle technique was explained to me personally by Bob Proctor who is a very well recognized authority in personal development.
The use of the will is one of the gifts few of us truly understand that helps us achieve real success in life. I want to suggest that you take the concepts contained in this article very seriously and become hyper aware of how you use your will and the results that you get in life. If you want to see big improvements make sure that 1) you really want your goal 2) you become emotionally involved with your goal 3) and you never give up.
What You Should Know About Peak Potentials Training
I’ve started hearing about the programs offered by T. Harv Eker’s Peak Potentials Training. I’m rather skeptical when it comes to programs like this, so I’ll admit I was wondering if this one was for real. So, I went to check out their website.
The names of these programs are pretty strange, offering military images when they use titles like Guerrilla Business School and the Enlightened Warrior Training Camp. Others have names that are a little more obvious, like Extreme Wealth or the Millionaire Mind Intensive program. I found this interesting.
There are some additional resources, too, including an encouraging video of Eker speaking at one of his training presentations. He tells us about how fear is the big thing that keeps us from doing that we need to do in order to succeed. Everyone can relate to this emotion, and almost all of us will get swept up in his enthusiasm.
You see, he didn’t start with a lot of money. His parents immigrated from Europe and it was a long journey to get to where he is now. That trip made him realize what the differences are between the rich and the not so well off - differences he’s willing to teach us to overcome.
If you’re not sure about the program, you should take a look at the website for Peak Potentials Training or check out a copy of Eker’s book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. In fact, if you buy the book, you could get free tickets or discounts when it comes to some of the best seminars Peak Potentials has to offer.
Even people who already know a lot about finances will be amazed by what they see. Just attending the seminars offered by Peak Potentials Training and reading these books can make a difference in how you think about money - a difference that lasts.
Each one of us has our own internal blueprint for relating to money, says Eker, and that plant tells use how to react towards the idea of success. Most of us have an internal money map that’s actually keeping us from being successful.
The financial blueprints we each have are created by the people who surround us and the events we see around us. Most of us get our money maps from friends and family, and most of them aren’t as rich as they want to be. That means that what we learn from them can actually keep us from obtaining personal and financial success.
You might find that the exercises you’re asked to do as part of Peak Potentials Training’s programs feel a little silly. Don’t skip them because of that. They have a point and can teach us a great deal.
Not sure if you’re the kind of person that Peak Potentials Training is for? If you’re prepared to deal with the effort required to change how you think or if you think it’s going to be an easy task, look elsewhere. If you’re ready to put the effort in, though, you should find out more.
For instance, I’ve learned some of the habits rich people use to grow their money, why I have the problems I do, how to create wealth, how to maintain it once I have it, and how to create passive income. You could learn this, too.
Peak Potentials Training offers programs that do more than help rich people stay rich. They also help the rest of us learn how to become rich. Check these programs out and see what they can offer - then come to your own conclusions.
Understand the Power of Perception Like a Winner Does
Would you like to discover why the intellectual factor of perception is critical to success?
Successful people understand how important perception is in everything they do. People who consistently fail never seem to realize that the way they perceive the world has a profound impact on their lives. What they think about, what they feel and ultimately the actions they take or do not take are based on perception. Are you someone who is optimistic and sees the glass half full or someone who is pessimistic and always seems to find fault with everything around you? What Is Perception?
Perception is one of our intellectual factors that governs how we view the world. Based on our perception of the world around us can we make decisions about where we want to go and who we want to be. Doesn’t it seem logical that if perception is the beginning of thought formulation than it deserves some attention?
How can I use the intellectual factor of perception?
You were born perfect. Your intellectual factor of perception when you were a baby was incredible. You used your five senses: sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch to observe the world around you. As you matured you started to form beliefs that shaped your perceptions. For example, if a child went to the gas station with his father and noticed the price of gas was five dollars a gallon he would see this information, but not have a special belief associated with it. The father on the other hand might view this price of gas as a serious problem. Based on the father’s frame of reference he might perceive that the price of gas directly relates to his disposable income. Is it a fact or is this a belief that the price of gas is a major contributor to someone’s disposable income?
Another way to perceive the same situation is that the price of gas has gone up and therefore costs have gone up. Therefore I better get more creative to serve more people so I can earn more money to have an even better lifestyle.
Another interpretation might be gee the price of gas is going up maybe I should buy an call option on crude oil. You can either respond or react to the world around you. A response implies the act of thinking and looking for the good in the situation while simply reaction implies no thinking and often complaining.
How Do You Perceive Life?
Are you one of those individuals who always seems to find the positive side of any situation? Do you look for the good in people or do you pick apart all of their faults? Are you essentially a happy person or are you generally depressed? Perhaps somewhere in between? Do you think there is room for improvement to be happier and more in control of your emotions? All of these questions have one thing in common - your perceptions cloud everything around you.
Make up your mind to change the way you perceive things for a happier and healthier life.
I believe you’re reading this article because you really do want to be happier, healthier and wealthier. These are the basic factors that we can consider in terms of getting really great results in life. If this is you, and if you are serious, I challenge you to become hyperaware of how you perceive everything around you. Stop complaining to people and to yourself when things do not go well. Have the strength to be able to keep a positive mental attitude during difficult times and look for the good in a bad situation. Ask yourself what is the alternative? If you have a bad situation on your hands and you look for what’s bad about the situation how can this lead to any good? Unless you’re one of those strange people who enjoy wallowing in misery this is not a recipe for a successful life.
The intellectual factor of perception is a very important ingredient to building awareness and knowledge. Successful people understand this and choose to be very cognizant of how they perceive things. I encourage you to be optimistic and to realize that there are many ways to look at a situation. What looks to you to be an obvious solution from another angle might appear completely different. Focus at looking at issues from multiple vantage points and I guarantee you’ll get better results.
Why Rich People Have Big Libraries
Do Rich People and Poor People think Differently?
Have you made up your mind that you are ready to move into the field where the big earners play? You’re tired of low-income wages. You’re tired of barely getting by. You’re sick to the teeth of scrimping and never having enough. You are desperate for things to not just be better, but to be really great!
If you were able to nod in agreement with any of the statements above then before you continue there are a few questions you need to ask yourself.
If you were to become a wealthy millionaire, would you know how to act like one? How to the really big earners think? What are the big differences between the rich and the poor?
Your answers to all three are probably similar.
Millionaires like to buy rich and fancy houses and cars. Really big earners have nothing else to think about except the amount of money they have and all the fantastic ways they can spend it. The only difference between the rich and poor is that the rich have money.
For all three questions those assumptions are dead wrong.read on!
This article is much too confined to do justice to such as study as this, but let’s make a brief, general overview. Hopefully it will create a desire in you to learn more. Just for clarification: we are referring to the rich as those who are wealthy inwardly as well as outwardly. If they lost everything tomorrow, they would have the wherewithal to build it all over again, because it isn’t the money, but their mindset.
Let’s begin by taking the cue from our title: Wealthy people invest in self-improvement of mind and spirit. Poor people invest in things like big-screen TVs. See how it works? Here are a few more.
The point is that being wealthy or rich is a way of life too and it is in your best interest to learn the ropes from people who are already there. By knowing wealthy people and seeing the ins and outs of what makes them stay rich you will be able to learn a lot about how rich people think.
Wealthy people step out of the pack; they are not afraid to work independently. Poor people have a herd mentality; they watch a lot of TV and let the world do their thinking for them.
Why do rich people have libraries? That was the first question and the answer is telling of what it means to be rich. Rich people have libraries whereas poor people have big screen TV’s because rich people invest in things that improve their life both inwardly and out. Here are a few more examples of the real differences between the rich and the poor.
The rich are wiling and able to take risks that don’t involve a guarantee (like a paycheck) They can take these risks because they don’t feel intimidated by the rest of the world, whereas many poor people feel the world is out to get them. Wealthy people pioneer their own trail. They don’t mind thinking on their own or thinking differently from the mainstream. Poor people generally derive their views from the media or let other people tell them how to think. Wealthy people aren’t afraid of bumps in the road because they are solution minded. Poor people crumble at the first sign of trouble unable to make decisions and revert to their self pity attitude. Wealthy people aren’t intimidated by extra zeroes in their income level. Poor people think in smaller increments wanting just enough to get by. Wealthy people are decisive and efficient in their decisions. They make decisions based on their future desires. Poor people procrastinate and are waiting for external forces to tell them the right time to move ahead on the road to success.
There is a time for everyone to start a new process of thinking. If these ideas seem new to you, then NOW is your time to make changes that will help you to think and act like a rich/wealthy person. Waste no more time and begin today.
Business philosopher Jim Rohn says
As business philosopher Jim Rohn says: “We all have two choices: We can make a living or we can design a life.”
It’s pretty obvious that wealthy, successful people have chosen the latter. Which will you choose?
