This is the right moment to lose your pregnancy weight. This is the moment to stop rationalizing why you should put it off. Need one good reason to get started? How about 5 good reasons to lose the pregnancy weight?

The words “fast” and “easy” associated with weight loss products can beguile us to faithfully hang on in hope to shed the weight without any personal sacrifice, effort or patience. These are the words that entice us to take the “fast” and “easy” way to lose weight. But the reality of losing the baby fat permanently is not going to be “fast” and “easy”. You didn’t gain the pregnancy weight overnight and thus to lose the pregnancy weight fast with diet pills or trendy diet will not be natural or healthy for your body. Mom, you can lose weight after giving birth and get back into shape but you must do it the healthy way.

1. Pregnancy weight loss starts and ends with you.

You are the captain of your “ship” (body) and therefore, the ability to trim your tummy and get lean and fit will be up to you. You are responsible for what and when you eat. You are responsible for how you take care of the only “ship” you have. Choosing a lifestyle program, as your means to lose the baby weight, is a smart choice because it takes into account the psychological obstacles, appropriate exercises, nutritional knowledge, skills and tools that are needed to achieve success. Weight loss is not only about losing body fat but also of achieving wellness.

2. Re-gain your self-esteem.

When you live a healthy lifestyle, you will feel better physically and that will contribute to your mental health as well. The mind is a powerful force and just knowing that you look and feel great can be good medicine for your psyche. A Mother naturally puts the health and well being of her family first, but it’s at a cost. There is a balance that can be obtained where you can lose your tummy and keep up with the demands of a busy Mom. You can learn how to achieve that balance with a good lifestyle program. It’s time to stop ignoring your needs and wants. It’s time to equalize the balance scale of your life.

3. Lose Inches off your Body

Moms are not as fashion savvy as they would like to be out of practicality of dealing with children but mostly out of embarrassment of being overweight. But who wants to live in Sweat pants or Mom jeans forever? The type of strength training that reduces your waistline and tones your muscle is called resistance training. You can burn the baby fat and become your own goddess by doing strength training. Resistance training re-builds your muscle into toned muscles and it doesn’t require a lot of your time.

4. Boost your Energy.

At the end of a typical day of a busy Mom she feels drained and tried. That chronic fatigue and lethargy can be alleviated with eating right and regular exercise. With the right lifestyle program, you can lose weight after giving birth and have more energy. You can be “Wonder Woman” when you provide your body with the necessary nutrients and exercise to keep you fit, healthy and more energized.

5. Lower the Stress.

Many Moms find themselves stressed because they are overwhelmed with the many demands and expectations that she has to fulfill. In addition, Moms have a tendency to keep putting their needs and wants on hold for those of their loved ones. By looking after yourself with healthy food choices, eating habits, daily exercise and some “Mom-only down” time, you can reduce and cope better to manage the stress.

What you see is what you get and this applies to how you live your life. You have to decide that enough is enough and losing pregnancy weight requires you to take a first step towards emancipation from your “old” life. Don’t listen to the persuasive lies to yourself about the hard work; the lack of time or the “tomorrow” excuses keeping you back. It is time to set the stage and be the star Mom that you are and get healthy for you and your family.
